The Commodore Coatings Company was established in 1985 to partner with and support New Car Dealerships. The mission was simple; provide the quality products and the mechanisms to Dealers that would promote both business opportunities and customer satisfaction. For over 30 years, training programs have been an important element leading to the success of Commodore name. The training agenda includes both technical and sales training. Commodore trainers conduct technical training at the Richmond Virginia headquarters as well as in the field. Sales and warranty training is done by an experienced staff and is tailored specifically for each partner.

Kim Swagger, a Virginia native, took over the operations of Commodore in 2005. She brings over 30 years of automotive business experience to the company. Her knowledge and focused leadership has helped Commodore to continue sustained growth and profitability. Kim believes that the success of Commodore is because of two assets. Kim highly values the resource her staff provides in both maintaining and growing the company. The second key to success that Kim Swagger points to is the Commodore Customers.
